 Note: If you have not been diving within the last twelve months you may be required to do refresher dive with a private divemaster. Extra charge of 2,000 baht / diver.

The 2 MV South Siam Boats are more less identical and both accommodate Max twenty-eight overnight guests, plus day trip guest while staying around Similan Islands or Koh Bon Island. Both boats have 2 double cabins, which need to be booked well in advance plus 12 twin share cabins. All cabins are air-conditioned with shared facilities. On board of each boat are 6 bathrooms with hot showers.

All the food is freshly prepared and cooked on board that very day and served daily by South Siam’s on board chefs and assistants.

Sample Itineraries

Diving Day One

  • Pick up between 6-7am in Phuket Island or 7:45 – 8am in Central Khao Lak area.
  • Transfer to speedboat at Thap Lamu pier near Khao Lak.
  • Speedboat to the Similan Islands to join the South Siam 3 or 4.
  • Maximum 4 dives that day.

Diving Day 2,3,4… – 4 dives per day

Final Diving Day

  • Maximum 3 dives on day of departure
  • 15:00 transfer by speedboat to Thap Lamu (Khao Lak)
  • Back in Phuket Island by about 18:30 (depending on hotel location).

Exact dive sites are decided on the day based on currents, weather, customer choice, big fish sightings etc. All trips on the South Siam start early – pick up time in Phuket is between 6 – 6:30am. Guests are transferred by minibus to the port of Thap Lamu, around 2 hours drive from Karon Beach, and there transfer to the speedboat for a 75 minute dash to the Similan Islands.
